Nantahala Fly Fishing Co.
Smoky Mountains Fly Fishing School and Guide Service.
Nantahala Fly Fishing Company offers guided fly fishing trips for anglers of all skill levels. If you're a beginner and interested in learning how to fly fish, we are eager to share our knowledge with you. We enjoy helping you to improve your casting abilities as well as sharing our knowledge of Smoky Mountain trout and their habitat with you.
The fall months offer some of the best fly fishing in Smoky Mountain streams and rivers. The delayed harvest sections of the Nantahala River and the Tuckeseegee River offer world class fly fishing opportunities from Oct 1st-June 2nd. We also have good spawning runs of Brook and Brown trout as well as Steelhead-which leave area lakes to enter trout streams for their annual spawns. Awesome fly fishing, along with often times mild, mid-day temperatures, offer the perfect opportunity for a guided trip. This is the best time to "land" a trophy trout!
